1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Anychar, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Anychar.
In these terms, “Anychar,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Anychar project. These terms apply to the website, desktop app, and related materials supplied with the software.
2. Software License and Availability
Subject to these terms, Anychar grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Anychar for personal or professional purposes. Anychar is closed-source proprietary software, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The current version is available without charge. We may introduce paid features, change the scope of features, update the software, or discontinue features in the future. Any payment terms will be presented before purchase.
3. Your Content
You retain your rights in content stored in your local workspace. You are responsible for having the right to store, process, and use that content and for maintaining backups.
Anychar does not acquire ownership of your content by providing local editing, search, version history, or MCP capabilities.
4. Use Restrictions
You may not use Anychar for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or harmful activity, or to compromise another person, system, or network.
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract Anychar source code without authorization, or remove proprietary notices from the software.
5. External AI and Third-Party Services
External AI tools, models, and other third-party services you choose to connect are operated independently and may have separate accounts, fees, terms, and privacy policies.
You are responsible for configuring and authorizing those services and for reviewing their output and workspace changes. Anychar is not responsible for the availability, results, data handling, or conduct of third-party services.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anychar is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, continuous availability, or error-free operation.
You are responsible for evaluating whether the software and AI output are suitable for your purposes and for keeping backups before important changes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Anychar project is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or opportunity, arising from use of or inability to use Anychar.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Anychar during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not apply to you in full.
8. Changes and Termination
We may update the software or these terms. We will describe material changes on this page and update the effective date. Continuing to use Anychar after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
The license may terminate if you materially breach these terms. After termination, you must stop using and delete copies of the software. Sections covering content rights, use restrictions, disclaimers, and liability limitations survive termination.
